The SCP Foundation
SCP foundation is a “secret organization” where all entities that do not follow the natural balance are stored by intelligence operatives. Although extensive details about the organization remain undisclosed, it is known that the organisation was founded on July 19th, 2008. The SCP entities can range from small hazardous ones capable of ending the planet, to enormous harmless species that give hugs at random times. The SCP (Special Containment Procedures) Foundation is supposedly a made-up organization, but who knows? The SCPs are always locked away in special containment chambers for the sake of everyone's safety.
There are a few important terms to know:
“SCP” is a term used in the foundation to describe a certain species. For instance: SCP-001.
Thaumiel class SCPs: Thaumiel class SCPs are typically amicable; they're only permitted to walk outdoors when monitored, and they're occasionally beneficial for the foundation when containing Keter classified SCPs. (Continue to read to understand what a Keter class SCP is!)
Safe class SCPs: SCPs of the safe class are easy to confine or lock up; however, this does not imply that the SCP is harmless. An example is SCP-005, The Skeleton Key (shown left.)
Euclid class SCPs: SCPs of the Euclid class must be locked up with specific containment requirements; the SCPs will not be hazardous if said requirements are followed correctly.
Keter class SCPs: SCPs of the Keter class are particularly difficult to contain. These SCPs can break out from their confinement at any time. SCPs of the Keter class are well guarded, with armed security and special gunmen around the cell.
Apollyon class SCPs: SCPs of the Apollyon class are either impossible to contain or can break out of their containment. SCPs of this class type are rare and can end the world. For example, SCP-3999 (shown left).
